Travel with Gordon the Rural Mailman as he delivers all the way to the Southern most point of the North Island. Drive through a variaty of gravel roads, see the seals and experience the most picturesque views that the South Wairarapa has to offer.

Gordon has been the RD2 rural mailman in Featherston since 2004. During your unique dayout you will get to experience 220km of a real rural mailrun off the beaten track, see the quaint villages of Pirinoa, Lake Ferry as well as Ngawi which has the highest bulldozer to people ratio in the world. You will see breathtaking views of the rugged South Wairarapa coastline. You can climb the 253 steps to the Cape Palliser lighthouse and hear local knowledge with a few laughs along the way.

The trip starts at 8am in Featherston and Gordon will deliver you back to Featherston or Martinborough at 4pm.

Cost is $85 per person (max 3 people per trip)


This trip includes- snacks and a home made picnic lunch.
